DOING RESEARCH

IN INDONESIA

In 2014, the Global Development Network launched a major global programme to document and address the challenges of doing quality social science research in developing countries. This one done through the Doing Research Assessment, a method used in analysing in detail the key factors impacting the social science research system in developing countries.

My task here was to translate raw complicated data into simplified but exciting infographics. This gave me the opportunity to explore the creation of simple illustrations and icons that are fun but still fitting to the general style of the project. I used only four colours, with the aim of giving the whole design consistency. This created an interesting challenge for me: presenting an exciting final version with just these four colours.

I also designed the layout of the book in which these results were documented.
